Global travel technology company Sabre has partnered with TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, to bring the most in-depth, up-to-date seat and in-flight amenity information to agents via a new Sabre Red App. The world’s first B2B application store for the travel industry, the Sabre Red App Centre provides an open platform and marketplace for developers to build and promote unique applications that can be integrated into the Sabre Red Workspace, expanding the environment in which travel agents shop, book and manage travel.

Google signs up Room 77 for hotel booking expansion

Since it caused a stir in the online travel community with the $700 million acquisition of flight software company ITA in 2010, search giant Google has been a little quiet on the travel industry front. The launch of its Hotel Finder site in 2011 failed to set the world alight and the company, which dominates in other key areas, has remained a secondary player in online hotel bookings.
